Estonian Concert

HEIGO ROSIN & JONAS WEITLING /Tallinn-Arhus



Young and energetic percussionists Heigo Rosin and Jonas Weitling met during their studies in Denmark, Århus at the Royal Academy of Music. Together they have given several interesting concerts, for example the presentation concert of Estonian composers Tüür, Eespere, Kangro, Kõrvits and Tamberg in the music hall of Århus. At the concert, they will play on marimbaphones and other percussions, performing new pieces from local and foreign composers. Among others you can listen to the works of: Urmas Sisask’s “Kuijti- Huuijti” op. 153 (premiere), René Eespere’s
“Murdepunkt I–II” (premiere) together with Koppel, Morag, Dorman, Marino, Lopez.

 

Heigo Rosin is the finalist of a popular Estonian television contest and the winner of De Linkprijs’ prize. He has been the soloist in the Klaipeda Chamber Orchestra, the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, the Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and the symphony orchestra of Estonian Music and Theatre Academy. He has performed solo concerts in Estonia, Poland, Finland, Belgium, Denmark and Italy.

 

Danish percussionist Jonas Weitling is a soloist and chamber musician, who has played in Århus’ Symphony Orchestra and Århus Sinfonietta. He has successfully competed in several soloist competitions in Denmark. Weitling has graduated Freiburg’s Higher School of Music and is currently studying at The Royal Academy of Music in Århus.
