KorFest 2015: LIISA LAINE / Sounds like Music

KorFest is a festival of young dance artists organized by the department of choreography of  University of Tallinn since 2008. Festival presents the graduating performances of the students of Bachelor and Master’s level. this year, the festival takes place from 22 April until 16 May.

In this performance, dancers find their sounds, sound sequences and hearing. As the world is in constant dynamics, sounds accompany us from birth until death. The sound as a phenomenon is as old as Earth. In its eternity, the ability to perceive sounds is perhaps even more important than other perceptions, but do we think how music is created with sounds? That it consists of sounds? Which sounds are we hearing in that case? Which ones do we want to hear?
