CARMEL KÖSTER, RENE KÖSTER "RSKSD"

“The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself."  - Friedrich Nietzsche

Performance “RSKSD“ looks upon the ego, social environment, counsciousness/sub-consciousness and emancipation. During the project, getting to know oneself is endeavored while addressing the difficulties that are met daily. Weaknesses and fears are searched for and bravely and physically dissected. This performance is the result of a psychological research process, that is presented to the audience frankly and dynamically.

Carmel and Rene are the founding members of Twisted Dance Company which has been active since 2007. Their last performance “NOX” was received with great success. Rene is a dancer, choreographer and musician who currently studies choreography in Tallinn University. His solo performance “Tzion” was awarded at the Estonian Theatre Awards 2014. Carmel has graduated the the Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London. Prior to London she studied at the Diambra Dance Education in Stockholm led by Ambra Succi of Bounce Streetdance Company. She has worked on numerous projects across Europe as a choreographer and dancer.
