Estonia Music Days 2015: STUDENTS OF EMTA´S DEPARTMENT OF AUDIOVISUAL COMPOSITION / I've been thinking but I might be a bit late
Since 2011, Estonian Music and Theatre Academy is offering the programme of audiovisual composition, where painting, photography and moving images are part of musical parametres and considered to be the extension of traditional compositional thought. Connecting innovative visual arts with musical thinking, the students get access to wide education in both classical and electronical music. The students are supervised by Paolo Girol, the lector of EMTA’s department of composition. The concert is taking place in collaboration with Estonian Music and Theatre Academy.
The theme of this year’s festival Estonia’s Music Days is “prosperity” in genre as well as in mood. Festival fulfils the dreams of composers and interpretes, by giving the audience a chance to witness valuable moments of local music scene. The aim of the festival presenting Estonian new sound creation since 1979 is to share joy and extraordinariness, calling the audience to listen and discover, encouraging to dive into unknown and unfathomable. Festival is taking place on April 10–17.
