IMPROTEST: VILLEM JAHU & EKKE VÄSTRIK
Villem Jahu is an interdiciplinary artist who has done mostly installations and performances, also some painting and printmaking. Since around year 2010 his main focus of interest has shifted into the field of sound. That in many different forms, both as a solo artist and in different bands and collaborations
To give you an idea, it sounds something like Bernard Parmegiani meets Merzbow in some small Estonian town on a quiet winter day and later they have a nice train ride through the landscape.
Toomas Savi enjoys playing with video and sound and to construct instruments. First sound instruments were created around 2010, during last two years he has dedicated to building and playing modular synthesizer. Beside concerts he has created musical backgrounds for performances and expositions.
Improtest is a concert series organized by MTÜ Improtest that brings to audience improvisational music from local and foreign authors.
