ELAAN "Koit ja Hämarik on surnud"
/tragedy/
Recommended by Peeter Jalakas, Jaan Toomik and Marko Raat:
If there is one crazy artist in Estonia, it's Elaan (aka Alar Sudak). No wonder that he has been the subject of a piece by Jaan Toomik, for instance. He is a wild man and opinions about him are nothing short of neutral. He might have a direct line to transcendence open. Or maybe not. Kanuti Gildi SAAL welcomes him to perform his one-man-show "Koit and Hämarik are dead". A fierce piece of the mythological variety. It's the confession of the Devil about a love triangle spanning over several lifetimes. The message? That in this evil world there is something invincible for any Satan. Love.
Direction and performance: Elaan
Participated by: Anna Aua
Supporter: Cultural Endowment of Estonia
*The performance on October 27 is followed by the premiere of a portrait documentary about Elaan "Isa, Poeg ja Teatri Vaim" ("Father, Son and the Theatre Spirit") by the Estonian film director Marko Raat.
