OPERA GETS PLUGGED: Dmeeter / Tuleloitsija /PREMIERE!/
Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre presents an evening of short operas:

Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre has organised unprecedented experiment: composition students wrote operas to vocalist students with half a year and now will be premiered burning hot. One of them is about fire and the other one about water. In both pieces our world has to be destroyed by the primeval element, so it could be reborn as new and better - aeonian subjects like it is appropriate for opera. On stage realization will be experimented with interactivity: the actor (in this case the vocalist) will control the video or lights.

Monika Mattiesen acts mainly as an artistic director and flautist of Küberstuudio. Age Hirv is one of the best known young composers of Estonia. Stage, costume and video artist Ruth Prangen lives in Koeln and works in the field of ´electronic scenography´. Risto Joost is already experienced new music performer. Dancer Robert Wechsler is keen on motion-tracking technology and teaches others to use it. Liis Kolle is lecturer of EMTA opera studio and introduces contemporary music theatre in that institution.
